Beskrivelse: This film diary of the Dresden ENT physician Gerhard Schneider begins with shots of the doctor's practice in Sidonienstrasse in Dresden. The amateur filmmaker also documents the Imperial Garden Show in Dresden (which he addresses separately in his film "Blühende Welt" ("Blooming World")) as well as a trip with the paddle steamer up the Elbe. The film also includes footage from 1929 with the Elbe in Dresden completely frozen over. The amateur filmmaker documents trips to Lake Constance and Norway , as well as private family shots and a meeting of the Association of German Film Amateurs (BDFA) in his apartment, at which its then managing director Hanns Plaumann and the later cameraman and director of Boehner Film and DEFA, Richard Groschopp, is also a guest.
This film was digitized as part of the model project "Sicherung des audiovisuellen Erbes in Sachsen" (Securing Audiovisual Heritage in Saxony) of the Film Association of Saxony (2018) in cooperation with: Hirsch Film Filmproduktion, Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek, funded by: Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art.
